Who would be your Clinican

About Me – or, Why Me?
When I was younger, school wasn’t exactly my thing. My mind would drift off, and my attention wandered unless I was really passionate about something. But once I found something I loved—or a challenge I was set on tackling—nothing could pull me away. Back then, one of my strangest little “talents” was untying tangled shoelaces. It was oddly satisfying, and even if I couldn’t tie a shoelace that well, I loved unraveling them. As I got older, this turned into a knack for untangling jewelry—my sister’s necklaces, my mom’s bracelets, you name it. When I worked in fashion boutiques, I’d even be the go-to person for tackling knotted jewelry displays.

As it turns out, this same patience and determination to untangle messes carried right over to my work as a therapist. I realized my calling was helping people unravel what’s knotted up in their lives. I went on to earn my MSW from Rutgers and started my career in school-based therapy, working with kids, writing IEPs, and helping students navigate social challenges and learning differences like ADHD (something I personally relate to). That experience laid a strong foundation for my clinical approach today.

Now, in private practice with over 7,500 hours of hands-on experience, I take a warm, step-by-step approach. If you’re struggling with ADHD, anxiety, or need support processing grief or big life transitions, I’m here for you. For anyone dealing with ADHD, I understand how these symptoms are lifetime companions, not something you can simply “overcome.” We’ll work together to make them easier to live with.

Another area I’m passionate about is working with the LGBTQIA+ community and people exploring all kinds of non traditional relationships and lifestyles. I work with all different types of couples and any issues that apply to the LGBTQAI+ community. Helping you find yourself and manage coping skills is why I do this work.  Although I’m not AASECT-certified as a sex therapist yet (and technically I can’t be until I hit 10 years post-grad!), I’m deeply committed to that path. Nearly 70% of my ongoing education focuses on sex therapy, so even while I’m on my way to full certification, I feel confident  to support clients in this area. Until then, I continue learning and growing, aiming to be a solid support system.

One area that holds a unique place in my heart is grief. I am certified in grief and bereavement therapy, and I feel immensely grateful for the chance to work with those going through loss. When I sit with clients in grief, I get to know their loved ones through their eyes. It’s a privilege and an irreplaceable perspective—seeing someone beloved through the heart of someone who’s truly loved them. I carry that honor in every session, aiming to be a steady support as you navigate such personal, powerful memories.

I believe in meeting you right where you are, taking each step together, and working at your pace. Whether I'm a lifelong guide or here for just a few steps of your journey, I’m honored to be part of your progress. If you’re ready to start, I’d love to join you on the path.
